St Andrew’s Craft Fair

March 1, 2012

St Andrew’s Activities Team is holding a Craft Fair on Saturday 31st March and this event will again be welcomed by exhibitors, members and friends of St Andrew’s.

This very popular springtime event was developed by our current church organist Paul Hartley who, as Ways and Means Convenor in the 1990s, was thinking up new ways to raise money. At that time the Fair was held in the Church Hall and was always a great success. However, in this last decade, we have used our church as a multi-functional area, and the ambience of the church has lent itself to all our fund raising events. With the completion of the reception area we have been able to diversify many of our regular events and the Craft Fair has grown as a result. Kathleen Hopper now organises the Craft Fair together with the Activities Team, and already this year she has ‘crafters’ booked up for 31st March.

There will be handmade jewellery, soaps and skin care products, cards and associated crafts, the popular textile craft stall, a St Andrew’s homemade cake stall plus some new stalls. The event would not be complete without morning coffee and scones, St Andrew’s broth and light lunches.

We look forward to welcoming you back to this springtime event so please put the date in your diary: Saturday 31st March from 10am to 2.30pm at St Andrew’s Chuurch, Eastfield Avenue.

Please contact Kathleen Hopper on 0191 252 2345 for further details.
