LOCAL INTEREST: North Tyneside Disability Forum

November 30, 2013

Forum ChristmasThe dark nights are here again and summer, and indeed the sun, seems but a distant memory. The rain is back, and I have to ask, did it ever really leave?

Winter is merely a change of objective; the choir are practicing carols, the art club are busily making decorations and a feeling of excitement fills the air as Christmas gets ever closer. Everyone is eager to welcome new members and are looking forward to making new friends to lure into their games and schemes. With activities including art, drama and the ongoing pool rivalry, there’s something for every young person to enjoy.

Sessions for 7 – 13 year olds currently run four nights a week, Monday to Thursday, and one full Saturday every fortnight.

If you would like more information on how your child can get involved in any of the activities run by the Forum please ring Rachel Telford on 0191 200 8578 or email rachel.telford@ntdf.co.uk.

Rachel is a Play Development Worker funded by Children in Need working with 9-13 year olds. She works alongside NTDF’s Youth Development Worker Susan Proctor and is supported by a range of qualified and experienced sessional support workers.
