Tynemouth Video Group have made films since 1959, progressing through all formats of film and video to today’s digital tapes, cards and Blu-ray discs.
Clubroom facilities range from editing computer equipment to large screen high definition projection of our films.
Our groups’ wide and varied programme includes professional talks, visits with other clubs, practical and members’ nights, competitions and more.
Our subjects cover our families, holidays, interesting documentaries, plus comedies and dramas. It is great fun using our members as actors and actresses.
Competitions are entered by some members, both internally and also in more advanced ones such as the “B.I.A.F.” (British International Amateur Films), where for the last two years club films have received four star awards. Importantly, judges always give encouraging, helpful advice to our members who range from beginners to the more experienced.
Almost everyone has some facility for taking moving pictures, perhaps an SLR camera with movie capability, a camcorder or the amazing mobile phone in your pocket! Why not give them a new lease of life and let us help you make your interests, into films appreciated by your friends and families?
We meet at Camera House, Front Street, Tynemouth on Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 10pm and a very warm welcome will be given if you would like to visit us. Contact John on 0191 253 3536.
