LOCAL INTEREST: Find Your Voice in 2015

November 1, 2014

The choir performing at ChristmasWhitley Women’s Choir is on a mission to make singing accessible, fun and part of everyday life.  They are inviting women of all ages to come and join the choir and find (or regain!) their voice in January 2015.

If you want to find your voice in 2015, you could begin by coming to see the Whitley Women at their forthcoming Christmas events. At 7pm on December 11th they are performing at the iconic St George’s Church in Beverley Gardens, Cullercoats, home of the world famous Thomas Christopher Lewis Organ. This very seasonal Whitley Women concert will include a host of festive favourites as well as some extra special arrangements of the celebrated British Composer, John Rutter.

Whitley Women will also be performing for local events around North Tyneside during December with a final festive flourish in Whitley Bay Shopping Centre on Saturday December 20th.

Led by Gilly Love, and already 160 strong, the choir, which has no auditions, and two separate weekly rehearsals, has sung all over the North East, including Alnwick Castle, Sage Gateshead, Tynemouth Station and Seaton Delaval Hall, as well as at an international choir event in Holland in Spring 2014.

For concert details or for details on how to join the choir, please visit here or telephone  07542 524 345.
