LOCAL INTEREST: Cloudburst Theatre Group

August 31, 2013

Group memebersCLOUDBURST Theatre Group for the over 60s swings back into action, after their summer break, on Tuesday 3rd September 1.30pm at Cullercoats Community Centre, Belle Vue Street, Cullercoats.

The forthcoming winter programme includes workshops with professional actors/producers/writers, a Murder Mystery event, rehearsals and planning for the seasonal panto (January 2014) and its regular comedy sketch shows. The group has grown from strength to strength since its formation in 2010 and offers real social fun events and performances for its over 60s age group. Our members have found that its activities have added a new dimension to their lives.

Sponsored by Age UK, Big Society Grant, The Cooperative Community Investment Foundation, The Dulverton Trust and North Tyneside Council means the group is in a position to self-fund its own productions, writers workshops and stage presentations.

You don’t need any experience in theatre or stage performance. We are always looking for new members and with such a variety of ‘jobs’ to fill there is something for everyone. So that is a date for your diary – Tuesday 3rd September and meetings most Tuesday after that at Cullercoats Community Centre. So, ‘Break a leg’ and don’t mention the ‘Scottish Play’.
