ENTERTAINMENT: Bringing Sleeping Beauty to life at The Playhouse.

November 29, 2014

Sleepin Beauty, Oddjob and PenelopeWhitley Bay Pantomime Society are thrilled to be back at The Playhouse in Whitley Bay in 2015 with their latest production – the magical story of “Sleeping Beauty”.

The group performed “Aladdin” earlier in 2014 for their 50th year celebration show, giving their audiences a wonderful time yet again.

Kicking off the next 50 years for this lively group of people is one of the classic pantomimes of all time, telling the tale of the princess who slept for a hundred years – following a ‘run in’ with a spinning wheel, a wicked witch with issues and parents who really should have known better. Luckily, and of course as per usual, there is a handsome prince lurking in the wings to come to her rescue and save the day – where would we be without him? (Jack and the Beanstalk probably!)

Running from Tuesday 13th to Sunday 18th January, Sleeping Beauty promises to be a show full of laughter, singing, dancing, fairies (there are three!) special effects and, of course, lots of audience participation. Performances are at 7 pm Tuesday to Saturday with matinees at 2.15 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are on sale now at The Playhouse and are selling fast – contact the Box Office on 0844 248 1588 or online here.
