Peter Lewis, the retired Director of Beamish Museum, will give a talk “Nobody Loves a Critic”. Peter writes reviews of new exhibitions for Museum General, an international journal, as well as being the theatre critic for the Hexham Courant.
The meeting is free to all residents of the Village. New members of the Association are all very welcome, if you decide to join on the night or later. A bar is available and you can stay after the meeting to talk and meet members of the Association.
A pre-booked dinner at the Grand Hotel is available at 6pm before the meeting. Two courses cost £17.50, three courses are £22. If you would like the dinner, please email your details and the number of diners to email@example.com.
Tynemouth Village Association is a civic society whose main aim is to bring the village community together and to raise awareness of Tynemouth’s special character. The association is a member of Civic Voice, the national organization for civic societies.
The website www.tynemouthvillage.org.uk gives examples of the projects and campaigns that the Association has been involved with in the village. The website also has useful links to other local organizations and businesses as well as a lot of information about Tynemouth.
