Tynemouth Amateur Operatic Society: The Melody Lingers On

May 31, 2012

Tynemouth Amateur Operatic Society is delighted to be presenting three performances of ’The Melody Lingers On’ – a musical celebratory biography based on the life and works of Irving Berlin. The show includes more than forty of the great man’s songs, including ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’, ‘A Pretty Girl is Like a Melody’, ‘Puttin’ on the Ritz’, ‘What’ll I Do?’, ‘Cheek to Cheek’, ‘Let’s Face the Music and Dance’, ‘They Say It’s Wonderful’, ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’ and you will even hear ‘Easter Parade’ and ‘White Christmas’ performed at the same event…in July!

The show is to be presented in the Concert Hall of The King’s School in Tynemouth on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July, and ticket prices include a glass of wine (or soft drink – if you prefer) in the interval. What better way could there be to spend a summer afternoon or evening than being entertained by one of the area’s best performing groups?

For tickets or further information please contact the Booking Secretary, Jancey Glynn, on 0191 252 1827.
