ENTERTAINMENT: Aspects of Love Premiere in Whitley Bay

February 1, 2014

Harvey, Tango and TigerUnder the direction of their Dream Team, Tynemouth Amateur Operatic Society are currently rehearsing the Premiere of the definitive version of Aspects of Love to be performed at the Playhouse, Whitley Bay.

Andrew Clarence (Musical Director), Lesley- Anne Crawford and Christopher Carr (Directors) were named the ‘Dream Team’ by the Society Chairman Hilary Reynolds. “I thought the name was apt as they have directed our biggest and technically most difficult shows, which have been huge successes.”

Andrew, Lesley and Christopher first worked together for the society in 2007, directing Titanic, and then again in 2009 for Beauty and the Beast.

As a twist to the production, the society have cast three dogs to take part in the circus scene. Harvey, a Havanese, Tango and Tiger both Pomeranians, are to be handled by Lyndsey Harrison, the show’s choreographer, and owner of Tango and Tiger.

With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart, the show is set in Paris, Italy and Venice, and follows the love affairs within one family spanning three generations over 17 years.

The opening night of this Premiere takes place on Tuesday 25th February and the show runs until Saturday 1st March. Performances are at 7.15pm with an additional matinee on Saturday at 2.15 pm. Booking is now open for one of the theatrical events of the year.

Tickets from the Playhouse on 0844 2481 588 (booking fees may apply), or contact the booking secretary, Jancey Glynn, on 0191 252 1827 or by email at jancey@glynn.net.
